I get many calls with the homeowner complaining of chipmuks crawling around in the house at night. Right away I know it isnt chipmunks, after 28 yrs of working with animals I have only found one instance where chipmunks were actually living in a house. In the north east, chipmunks hibernate, which means they only store their food in houses but dont actually live in the homes. In warmer climates where chipmunks live they may live in homes but here they turn out to be Rats, flying squirrels, mice, red or gray squirrels. Even though chipmunks dont live in homes up here you can still get rid of them by giving us a call if they start to become a problem for you.

Squirrels are highly destructive, chewing holes in roofs, chewing through wiring and leaving smelly waste behind. What's more, because they are so crafty, they can easily find new ways to get back into your house after they've been evicted. Squirrels love to live inside the attics of buildings - an attic is just like a big old hollow tree to a squirrel. While many types of squirrels inhabit North America, it's mostly the nocturnal flying squirrels and diurnal Eastern Gray Squirrels that give people trouble. Squirrel removal and squirrel control can be very challenging. It will require many different types of tools and ladders to complete this task.  Squirrels such as the thirteen-lined ground squirrel, the eastern gray squirrel, Franklin's spotted squirrel and the fox squirrel are frequently seen. Chipmunks, woodchucks, flying squirrels, pocket gophers, beavers, voles, muskrats and porcupines are all  rodents. Opossums will eat just about anything they can scavenge up. We can set Humane traps to remove unwanted opossums. Opossums are a common sight in backyards, and armadillos can destroy gardens and landscaping in very little time. Even moles have become a serious problem in lawns. Raccoons are born with their eyes and ears closed, covered in dark fur with no rings on the tail. The mother alone cares for the young. Raccoons range in size from 28-38 inches, which includes a 10-inch tail, and weigh 10-30 pounds. Males are generally larger and heavier than females. Raccoons and squirrels can be a serious problem in this area. Opossums are a common sight in backyards, and armadillos can destroy gardens and landscaping in very little time.  Raccoons are a staple prey of bobcats. Further, gear used in infected caves should not be used until more is known about the disease. Upon exiting a cave, cavers should scrape off as much dirt as possible, put the clothes in a plastic bag, and wash their belongings off-site. Furthermore, this project will provide an opportunity to educate the community about watershed restoration through a series of community education projects. Birds (200 species) make up the majority (47 percent) of taxonomic groups represented. Notably, eight of the total species are endemics and six of these are snails. Bird enthusiasts will also welcome a revised, resized, and updated Birds of Massachusetts Check-list. Compiled by former state ornithologist Brad Blodget, this check-list is larger in size, includes check boxes, information on the listing criteria, and a legend that indicates the status of the 473 bird species that have been recorded in Massachusetts. Birds eat the snails and ingest calcium they can use for their own egg production. Wildlife & Environmental Solutions are not merely trappers, but, licensed and insured, professional full-services nuisance wildlife control operators. Wildlife, though secretive, is remarkably diverse. Existing vegetation typifies the northern Chihuahuan Desert, with lechuguilla, sotol, ocotillo, several yuccas, and numerous cacti. Wildlife-generated revenues even surpass the economic value of Maine's commercial fishing industry.  Wildwood is hosting hundreds of roller derby enthusiasts, skaters and vendors for the second annual Roller Derby Weekend. This hard-hitting event will feature a full day of bone-crushing games, a parade in front of the Wildwoods Convention Center and various other skate-inspired festivities.
